One-third of the sibling teen pop group Jonas Brothers, vocalist Nicholas Jonas was the first brother to make his mark on-stage. Growing up in New Jersey, Nicholas and his brothers were encouraged to play music by their musician parents. However, around age six, Nicholas was discovered by a talent agency and began performing on Broadway appearing in such musicals as Les Miserables, Annie Get Your Gun and others. By age 12, on the merits of his composition "Joy to the World (A Christmas Prayer)" which was featured on the 2002 charity album Broadway's Greatest Gifts: Carols for a Cure, Vol. 4, Nicholas had scored a record deal with INO and Columbia.
